At lease for now. I have seen this buck many times last season when he was a 2 year old. I have let him walk more each time I have had him in range hoping he would make it to be a 3 year old. I have pics of him in August, but then he disappeared. I have not seen him at all this hunting season, and I was really concerned he was killed. Well, my neighbor sent me this photo last night and he appears to be alive and well. I hope he can survive the Orange Army as I would love to get a crack at him with the Mathews.
Can you imagine 1 or 2 more years on this stud?? I get it I've let a deer walk only to watch him jump the fence and hear the boom stick from the Orange army on the neighbors property
I thought you had stuck one and couldnt find it. I had that happen once. I tracked it forever all night and into AM. Started again next day at light. Nothing but blood. Not good lung shot blood either. Later on ( cant remember how much time had passed, days weeks ) there on my cam pic was the buck with fletchings sticking out. I was glad to see that he survived and not piled up where I didnt find him. Still got the pic somewhere. because I came across it not long ago.
