I would estimate at least 10,000 BTU.... is the minimum you would expend trying to get him in the stove. That effort, coupled with the expected blood loss (yours, not his) will keep you warm and take your mind off of anything to do with the stove for hours, maybe days. Funny too because I have two neighborhood cats that love to sleep on top of my holz hausens all last summer. Brian
He's a good cat. That was this morning when a fire needed lit. After it was going, door still open and getting up to temp he came in to the room I was tidying up and stared at me until I followed him to the stove and closed it all up. I mean, I had it under control but it's nice to know that he's that conciencious of it.
Nope, this is his older brother. Charlie is less interested in firewood, except when it comes to pooping in scraps of bark.
