My friend has the above stove and he said the pot agitator will not work at all. I removed the motor and tested it with an old cord i had and it works fine. There is nothing holding it back in the pot so can anyone give me some ideas as to why it will not run....
Does the stove run fine other wise? Did he verify if any power is going through the leads going to the agitator motor? Check the low limit switch/jump out to test.......***disconnect power before jumping out***
The agitator should start turning three minutes after starting the stove. Grab the output shaft with your hand and see if you can stop it. This will tell if any gears are striped out or the motor is weak. Passing that verify that the you have voltage at the agitator motor three minutes after start up.
Check the fuses and the fuse holders. I gave my manual to the guy who bought my stove so I forgot which fuse it was. You can get it at US Stove site.
When you say no power is that just the agitator doesn't turn or you have measured the voltage to the agitator? If you haven't then that would be the next step.
disconnect agitator motor power leads and run a test power cord to it to confirm it's not just a bad motor.....if motor runs, then possible bad board?
Oooops.....thanks for pointing that out. If all the leads from the control board are connected, and there are no blown fuses, time to suspect the board, I guess.
Headed out to the Y, but got interrupted by a weeping willow tree that had fallen across the road. That tree is on the lawn of the first home on this street. It was completely across the stree and the brush was about the height of my van. A neighbor up the hill had to be at work so he broke the ends of the limbs enough so we could creep past it while having one wheel on the side of the ditch. When I came back, the tree was cut up enough so the one lane road was passable. Still thousands without power. We lucked out and kept ours. Warmed up enough today so that the snow mealted off the road.
