Still moving the mulberry and white ash in, both are loosing quite a bit of bark-- they old lady has filled a barrel. Any reason to not have a bark fire to take the edge off tonight?

After we do our splitting in the driveway we sweep up the bark and wood chips and put it into cardboard boxes and I store it in my shop and use it for fire starter in the wood stove in there.

We burn all the bark, branches and what not in the shop stove. I end up tossing in 3 or 4 wheelbarrow loads a night.

After splitting, I sweep up all the bark and put it in paper bags that we get at the grocery store.. Take the whole bag and put it in the stove. Gives heat for about 45 minutes. During SS that's enough to take the edge off in the morning..

I put the bark on the quad trails near the house that I use a lot. The clay soil here erodes easily.

That's what I do. Only the pieces that naturally fall off; I don't debark intentionally like some others do.

I'm pretty sure I end up eating enough sawdust in the course of a day!

I'm surprised the clothes dryer doesn't catch fire with how much sawdust ends up in it. Dunno from where even!

I was shocked at the amount of heat thick dry locust bark put off mixed with small starter wood, makes for a little more ash though.
