Got about 2 gallons of mix thru the saw now and it is safe to say this saw is a beast for a stock 60 CC saw. I might even say it shames the old 361. Definitely easier on the mix can too. I can fill my 4x8 trailer twice on one tank cutting big hedge and black locust.
They are great machines! No doubt. Light (er) and nimble (er) for a 60 cc saw!! With plenty of power! (er) - in for Mike from Maine
Looked/ lifted ogled at one with a 20" on it, 2 days ago. Now I'm working on how to justify one. #1 on my saw wish list .
Only about 3-4 tanks thru my new R 362 CM. Its my first saw with a full wrap handle & it has dogs on both sides of the bar .Had to have my local Stihl dealer special order it. If you buy & use Stihls platinum oil, it doubles the warranty . I have never used Stihl mix oil, but I bought some & am using it on this saw only. Been using Optimal. ( spelling?) for .... Must be 25 years. You would think that after 25 years I would be certain of the spelling! 362 is for me a great size. Could easily be an all day saw. Have a LARGE ( for Nebraska ) oak that I will be attacking over the next few weeks. Looking forward to getting my saw baptized in some big wood.
my 660 is the go to, but after an hour I've got to spray some ice water on my searing back and pick up the 460.
i like thisthen you get those who count 6-12oz a deal breaker for a saw's weight reminds of my fellow rifle loonies who agonize over the weight of their hunting rigs to no end
I don't think anyone is climbing mt. everest or the like with a .378 weatherby topped with 5-24x56mm hubble scope or a 880/3120 xp w/50" bar these days but some things weigh what they weigh and thats it.
