    Good morning friends,

Having been a lurker here for a long time and a member for not so long, I just want to thank y'all for allowing me to be a part of this community, and to thank you for being such a positive and supportive group of people.

You don't often see that on internet forums - it seems like in most places there are a few who are always looking for an excuse to disagree or pick a fight. I don't see that here. Folks here always seem friendly. They may jest at each other sometimes but in good fun, or even when they disagree with something said it's in a polite way - "Well, I've not had good luck doing it that way but you might" or something similar.

Anyway, I'm not one for virtual hugs or any such nonsense, but wanted to let you know that I do appreciate the great atmosphere, support, and attitude that folks share on this board. It really is a breath of fresh air and a nice place to be able to visit.

    Y'all take care, work safely!

I think when you become part of an adoptive family, you appreciate each other more. We all have different points of view and sometimes that clashes but the joy, enthusiasm and knowledge we share about many things seems to rise above the disagreements. It also is because Scotty Overkill and the Moderating work very hard to keep all us children in line when topics get hotly debated.

I am glad you are part of the family.

    Happy to have you here.

What Woodwidow says is so true - and in the posts I tend to frequent, Mods don't have to step in often. That alone speaks volumes as we all try to respect each other and understand that this is a sanctuary away from some of the crazy stuff going on in the world and we just try to keep this little corner of the world away from really controversial topics.

Scotty Overkill built a nice place here and we aim to keep it that way.

Thank you for the kind words. Just keep on posting so you can join right in on the various topics. Your viewpoints can matter as much as any others.

As for Scotty and the moderators, just remember we were also just regular members. We still are but if need be we can offer help is settling problems that might crop up. Thankfully, because of the group we have, the moderators have little to do except to be regular members. I hope that made sense.

Great post Woodtroll, and excellent responses from the members

Yes, we’ve had some paint rubbed raw at times, but that happens anywhere in life these days.
I see you’re in the same region as myself Woodtroll, so if you feel like attending a GTG is up your alley, feel free to PM me. :handshake:

Yes humor and jesting are in no short supply here. One other thing I enjoy about FHC.

Nah, the Horizontal/Vertical is a No Brainer, Horizontal whenever you can, Vertical when you HAVE To, because your Back is saying “Don’t even Think about lifting that round onto the beam
