A Friend of the Family worked st the Hyster Tech center, in Fairview, OR for many years, he told us about a coworker who had a serious Mole problem, tried everything, nothing seemed to work.

He finally got frustrated, and brought home a tank of welding acetylene, stuck the hose into a hole, opened the valve, came back a little later, and dropped a match.

Sounds like he was Lucky he didn’t end up in the Hospital. From the way Ted told it, it did a Lot of damage to the guy’s foundation, sidewalk and yard. Evidently acetylene isn’t as finicky as chainsaws about Air/Fuel mixtures

I never did hear if it solved the mole problem, seems the guy didn’t like to talk about it too much

I know a guy that last year tried to seat the bead of a tire with acetylene. Acetylene 1, tire 0, hearing -5. Said his ears rang for a week and now knows flying chunks of rubber sting.:picard:
