So it’s time to look at new saws, my current saws are a Husqvarna 365, almost 30 yrs old, and last year I was gifted from a friend, that was not a chainsaw guy, not even a get your hands dirty guy a Stilh ms170, he bought in new in 2017, dealer gassed it up, showed him how to start it, he took it home put it on the shelf, and his wife gave it to me this past September when he passed away, he never end used it. So it’s a bit small for what I do, so I’m looking at a Husqvana 545 Mark 11,X series, 50cc, 20” bar. Reviews are good, Anybody have experience with one. What are your thoughts? Thank you.

I have an older 545 and I like it a lot. I don't have any experience with the mk 2.

The 5 series saws are butter smooth. While I don't own any, when I've used them, they always leave an impression on me because of that.
That 545 has a full magnesium crankcase, just like the pro series XP saws. Historically the non-pro metal case Husky's have had great reputations. 50, 51,55 Ranchers for example. Your 365 is another one. I say stick with the brand, try that 545. I've ran 550's at gtg's and they're very nimble. Cut fast too.

Home Depot is still showing some leftover Echo CS-4910's saws at various stores. I got one with a 20" bar for $350 last month. Eventually, I'll put a 16" b&c on it.
If it is at all like the CS-620P, it will be a great running saw! So far, it's only had 3 tasks of mix through it. Homeowner warranty is 5 years.

Don’t sick animals go to Vet? Thought huskihl was the vet for chainsaws… Meaning After he works on them they are much better…:D

After reading this I checked out local HD"s and they have some left at $280 plus tax.

    Really curious about this saw.

Have never run the 545s. Have a mki 550 and a buddy has a mkii. His mkii has more torque but no revboost. IIRC crank stuffers are the main difference between the 550s and 545s? The all orange 545 is better aesthetically to me. Any of these saws will run an 18x.325 very well. 3/8x20 was a little too much for my mki.

If you're gonna run a 20" bar, I'd recommend the Husky 550. That's what I have and it does well with a 20". Very smooth saw.

    It’s a 50cc saw similar to Stihl 260 good saw for $$
For $280 with 5 year warranty it would be in my garage..

mediated to add here it’s $389

Agreed. They're not in stock anymore in stores near me. They had some last year for $279. I wanted one but needed money for other things.

That's was the normal price. Then when the 4920 replaced it. They sold the remaining 4910s for $279 at my closest store

Pot has really been stirred.:stirpot: I haven't bought a saw since last Fall and I usually get one as a birthday self gift. Came and went this month.

We're trying to help as much as we can. You've seen how our XS4910 cuts, and you NEED a birthday gift to yourself. That's a GREAT price on that saw. It will become a collectable, get 2, keep one NIB.

Absolutely, my friend. He'll leave most of the other saws home...

Well T.Jeff Veal beat you to the punch in the enabling department. :D

If I had one saw to port it would either be the 241 or 400.

IIRC they had four left in stock. Id be glad to pick one up for you Lyle.
