So, I've read a bit on the outside air kits, how they enhance efficiency, and it has definitely sparked my interest. Here's my quandary..... My stove sits in a concrete slab, AND, it's not on an outside wall.

Here's my idea, and, shoot me down if I'm running down the wrong rabbit trail.

Can I run, say a 4 inch duct pipe, up the wall between the studs and suck air from the attic (FYI...My attic is well ventilated)?

It would be literally impossible for me to reach an outside wall so that is definitely ruled out.

I guess it would also be worth asking, would installing an OAK even really be worth it in heat gain and efficiency?

No, it's dangerous if you have draft reversal, the duct will function like a chimney and things will end up on fire.

OAKs should always be at the level of the exit the stove or lower.

Perfect, that's all I needed to hear! One chimney is enough!!
