20250111_140602.jpg 20250111_140553.jpg 20250111_130502.jpg Found a new score! Owner had a tree company top a bunch of dead ash. They left the trunks standing and dumped the tops in a pile, I think the guy was on a major budget. He says I can drop the trunks and have the whole pile, easy drive up access, and I'm the only one cutting on it. The trunk in the pic is one of the smaller ones, and zero rot! Small trailer, will probably be coming here for the next few months as long as the snow hold off.

Gotta love scores like that. Mutually beneficial to you and the homeowner.

Looks a lot like me heading out to a big score. I got so much crap, so many saws and other “necessary” paraphernalia in the pickup that I have to take a trailer so I can haul some wood home.:hair:

Ash is some of the easiest wood to process and burns great. Congratulations on a major score!

Hey, it's not crap! Ok, maybe some of it is. But yes, a few saws, axe, sledge, wedges, safety gear, gas, oil, saw tool box, and the list goes on. Wouldn't haul much back without some kind of trailer!

There are 10 or 11 more to take down, and some good sized logs in the pile too. It is definitely nice to get the wood and feel like you're helping out the homeowner too.

Being a hockey fan I know exactly what you are referring to.

Wayne Gretzky for those that are wondering. He wore #99.
