This is one of my favorite models of saw. Light, more power that the 261 and in great shape. $275.00 PHO plus ship. PM if questions or interest.
The 257 is a great saw and I cannot believe no one has snapped this up. A neighbor gave me a 257 power head back in May that he couldn't get started. Manufactured in 1994 and and in excellent condition. I fiddled with it some and got it running. Had an opportunity to really put it to use today when I cut down two ash trees for a friend. While not as powerful as my 371XP, it cut very well and if it was my only saw I would be perfectly happy.
I have an 034 and 039 I need to sell before I can buy anything else. I have someone locally slightly interested...they need to hurry up so I can buy this lol.
Saw is sold, pending payment, sorry. What are you looking for, I may have it. How about a ported 372XP, $375, PHO plus ship.
I like ported saws for under $400!! Noshow74, you better hop on that deal! Because someone else will!!
You kiddin me? That's a steal stock. I don't have cash but may have a ported ms360 to trade. Just sayin
The saw is assembled from parts around the shop. Completely rebuilt from split cases up. It is ugly uses JRed 2171 case and needs a new clutch cover because the one I had has a crack in it. I have a better cover but it does not have the side chain adjuster. I'll put up another ad later with pictures. Don't go nuts Dex otherwise you won't be able to get your paws on the Member Designed XPW! LOL!
I know man I know....no cash at the moment lol. A ported 372 at that price is crazy. I've got 4 saws on craigslist but nothings happening at the moment.
Will become my first saw purchased, as my firewood cutter 1 saw plan! Looking forward to taking care of log loads with this bad boy. TJ is a great guy to do business with, and being able to purchase a saw from someone with a good reputation is another great reason to be a member of the FHC.
I really like TJ. Good guy with a great reputation and great morales. Congrats on the 372!! Gonna be a firewood making machine! !
Thanks Dexter! I should have been clearer - it's the 257 I picked up from him. Those pics and your comments and others on the saw helped me make the choice.
