Need to get daughter two good pans. Stainless steel and carbon steel, skillet/fry pans. Already have her well set with good cast iron, she wants to step up and branch out a bit. I won’t say cost is no issue, she takes very good care of things so some expense(I know, very subjective) is not a deal killer. Any better brands of Stainless steel and carbon steel pans that you all know of? Solid 0r "clad" stainless? I’m reading a bunch, but still out of my element in this world. All ideas are appreciated. While probably not top of the top, we received a Biltmore set of stainless as a wedding gift almost 11 years ago… has held up very well. The set did include 2 or 3 non stick fry pans, though. https://www.biltmore.com/by-design/kitchen-dining/
My husband wanted a new stock pot, he asked me to buy this for him. He likes a lot, the wall insulation vs my favorite old set. My favorite are Chef's Club my Mother bought him 93', S/S and the bottoms are thicker than the sides, not sure if it's air gap or metal in there. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QSMM9T3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 We bought these for Christmas years later, back then this non-stick was supposed to be better but ours wore off too. www.amazon.com/Calphalon%C2%AE-Hard-Anodized-Nonstick-12-Inch-Frying/dp/B0D9HX4PFW/ref=sr_1_14_sspa?crid=3MED00025HZWY&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Jq4pJom5VDnHbJidoWjqPL8neQx9OVBhVd08bhTkXbGPLmwXhMuuuhsQqR_YNxqQhbozNY90Lsjs3GfuMYCU7cLGMAVx8LS4cbsnfJnv-pfT2sOC1SnDh6skvcgacxAodta616VfZpOibrYwPT2TBnj7fY2a4C9oZFBdGI_-uO3XxOSx13y6L-y26nkdy-Q-bnxOhGOf16iJptOuBYuPN-uOXH_ojMlWOeydtuR4BeroQYw6mv6FR1-HfPfXohtKl1d14_rGucb3nSMJzjTjzmVcPj5GlLUOwMudgWORZ2c.2RrLR0jKlLoVhXoYZ5Ui8UVKTlM4OEuJlOU76vM8PF4&dib_tag=se&keywords=nonstick%2Bskillet&qid=1727061582&s=home-garden&sprefix=nonstick%2Bskillet%2Cgarden%2C188&sr=1-14-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1
All-Clad fry pans kick butt. We have two and they cook really nice and for stainless steel the clean-up is super easy , maybe a half step away from a Teflon coated pan when it comes to clean-up. Pricey ; yes but it is a lifetime investment. I have also heard nothing but good about " Made In" brand pans but have no personal experience with them.
We use green pan non-stick stuff and love it. Non-stick has a lifespan though regardless of brand so they're not 20 year pans.
