Well I saw a listing on FBM for a bunch of walnut logs well by the time I was able to make it out here 98% of it was all gone I guess a furniture maker took most of it. Never the less I managed to still get a decent little bit for my short drive and actually had a chance to try out the new 4910.
Black walnut is by far the most valuable wood per board foot in Tn. I sold three cords of it last winter and received very positive feedback even though it has less BTUs than hickory or white oak. Love its color in how it turns from a purplish hue to dark chocolate when well seasoned.
