Quite the replenishment going on there. Personally I think you need a few more PU fulls, but heck I'm just a chronic hoarder!
The picture perfect spot to dry firewood. Have you ever checked to see how fast fresh split wood takes to dry there. Wish I had that much exposure.
It wouldn't hurt to have another load of two but with all the rain we've had and more coming next week it may wait till fall. Thanks for the encouragement though.
Never really checked but I definitely get some wind. Can't keep steel roofing sheets on no matter what I try. Until a few years ago I never even top covered any but rubber roofing now on some, the winds always kept it dried out.
Too much rain here too. Scouted a couple BL areas today and one was way too wet and swampy. Always glad to "encourage" a fellow hoarder. That's why we're here.
Ive always stated that if I had an open area with no foliage nearby I'd never top cover. Have you tried making holes in the sheets and using bungee cords? Been so windy here one of the metal sheets on my shed roof came free and is flapping in the wind. I never back screwed them when I "finished" last year.
I screwed my metal roofing to 3 pieces of a 4x4 about 3ft long. At each end and the middle. I live on a lake with some pretty good winds. They have not moved once.
Weather said 20% chance of rain, got the splitter out and 1 wheelbarrow split. Winds came and rain, big drops and thunder boomers. Got soaked putting everything back in the shed. Now I'm drinking coffee looking out the window. Rain predicted till Friday.
