I was checking the weather this morning & see that some of our Nebraska & maybe South Dakota family are in a blizzard warning from tonight thru Wednesday.

I believe that Sandhillbilly will be in worst of it, jtstromsburg will be in it & iirc Stephiedoll was headed out to her folks place for Christmas & its included as well.

Any fellow members I have missed feel free to chime in.

Drive safe, stay safe & warm & have a Merry Christmas.

    Yep we’re getting it!
Wife has to work until five. Last night I booked a hotel room with hot tub and fireplace in Valentine (67 miles away). Our family Christmas activities are over, so we thought we’d go to the casino and then sit in a hot tub. Turns out the casino closes at 4 this afternoon and doesn’t open until 4 tomorrow afternoon. Called and canceled the reservation. I not driving 150 miles in this chit just to sit in a hot tub, besides I’ll have to get busy moving snow early tomorrow morning.
But at least we’re having a white Christmas and getting some much needed moisture. Rained off and on most of the day yesterday so there’s some ice under the snow. Probably got 3-4 inches of snow already and plenty of wind

everyone be safe and have a merry Christmas

I was gonna work out in the wood yard today, temperature is not bad and with the moisture we got yesterday I was going to have a fire beside my work area. Snow coming down and a fire it seemed like it would be pretty enjoyable, but this wind blew that whole plan. :(
Probably go out to the shop and sharpen some chains and mess with a couple saws

Yup, rain for now, hopefully changing to snow later today. Only bad thing is the ground is t froze at all, and is muddy.
I am thankful that I don’t have to go push snow anymore but I may still help if the school needs it. I did buy a new snowblower yesterday. I have used the school plow truck for my own drive for the last 13years so figuring out how this will work.
all that to say, I’ll gladly enjoy a white Christmas, and I’ve barely burned any wood as it’s been in the 50’s most days. I will light the stove this afternoon and plan to cook up some fillet and ribeye for Christmas dinner tomorrow in the stove
    Merry Christmas all!

Just a 65 degree drizzle down here in misery...y'all can have the snow...
Though a white Christmas would be neat.

    Thanks Jim.
I think we're on the edge, maybe 30 miles, until we should be out of it. Was raining this morning and currently 37f. Plan on heading out tomorrow but should go south to Grand Island and I-80 to Lincoln for my work van. Have to see what the weather is and go from there.

We had 2-3" overnight, this morning some bare spots and little drifts. Cold though high in the 20's and 6 for overnight low tonight. I hope Cash Larue is getting dumped on :)

Raining & 50’s here. Guessers are saying potentially up to 2”. Let it rain, we are very dry here. It’s supposed to start cooling down tomorrow but not freeze until Tuesday night. Maybe around 1” of snow.

Quit snowing here early to mid afternoon, around 6”, hard to tell with the wind. Looks like maybe a little bit more off and on the next couple days.

We drove over to New Ulm, MN yesterday to have our Christmas celebration with our two boys and their families. Drove thru heavy fog on the way there and it was raining when we left early this morning. It had stopped by the time we got to Mankato but the rain has caught up to us.. Temps are still in the 50's.

Just moved so snow, for what that's worth. I would say 4" and blowing so can't tell how hard it's coming down.
It's moved east and looks like we will have to deal with it all the way home. Screenshot_20231225_092052_WeatherBug.jpg

    Yup, almost 60* now! :hair:
Don't even see snow in the 10 day forecast...heck, nothing below freezing until the end of the week, and even then its just barely!
All y'all that just bought snowblowers really did a number on our snow this winter it seems!

Feeling like an early spring day instead of Christmas.
