I frequently check to see what competitors are offering price/volume wise for wood. The same guy who I bought the logs from now has this in his ad. I am selling for $300 a cord. One of the "sale" tactics in this area is to stack the back row and then toss in the rest and call it a cord. My guess is this would stack out to 1/2-3/4 cord and get him over his $250 mark
Yeah i would call that a couple face cord (2/3 cord) IME I load more or less the same way when i sell a half cord, but mine are from a rack that hold a half cord.
That's sucks, especially having very limited options, around here you can throw a rock in any direction and hot a different logging company. They guy I got my last load from lives less then a mile from our house, I ordered 12 cords, when he got there he said he didn't like some of the logs so he had a little over 13 cords loaded to make up for the few crooked logs he didn't like. No charge for the extra cord. Hope the other guy you are going to try works out good for you
That sounds like an honest man I'd do business with. I am the same way. I want customers to be happy.
