Locust ?? (at least that’s what I was told) This is my latest marketplace find owner stated the tree service said that this is locust, however if it is locust its one that I have never seen. After done a google search on locust only to find out there are many species not only black or honey. So I thought to get the members input as to what this maybe. The previous owner had the logs under cover for better than 3 years. That cover was weighted to the ground, so the log was unable to let any moisture out. After cutting into billets and several days in the sun, I was able to hand split those straight pieces, those crotch pieces will be left for the splitter.
