Waste not, want not...

Since we started using the totes, had a few ideas. We take the bladder tank, cut it diagonal and make a roof with 1 half
So, in the spirit of hoarders, and repurposing, I found that the plastic would fit over 4 - 55 gal drums too...
1 screw in each drum secures it nicely.

This helps in 2 ways, before we had to use metal sheets and blocks to cover drums...those materials can be used on a shed now.

And drums had to be flat on top...pile a little more in them now.
We also use the placard holder to cover the valve opening on the bladder and the valve area on the base...
Got 8 tops ready to go...

 

Always thinking, aren't you Jeff. Most of our totes are bladderless, just my 5 330 gallon have them.

Good job giving everything a new purpose. There’s a place close selling totes for 40 bucks. I’ve been working on woodshed ideas in my head for the new place and I keep coming back to incorporating ibc totes into it somehow. Would be nice to pick up with tractor to move to house. May have to get me some. About how much wood can you fit into one of the 275 gallon?

How big is your tractor? Our 3130 Kubota can handle a tote about 3/4 full of green oak on the FEL. Then finish filling once it's set in place. Rear forks would probably lift any tote.
The 275 gal totes hold almost 1/3 cord, stacked, measurements say .30

 

I have close to 20 I’m trying to get rid of. May be a little drive for ya though!

 

Kioti ck2610. So not huge or anything. FEL is a claimed 1200 pounds and 3 point is 1650 claimed. Should be able to move it around the 30 yards or so from where my proposed shed will be going.

 

Even the smaller 275 gallon tote will probably all you'll want to handle unless the splits are bone dry. You may be able to lift it enough to move around but I don't think I'd try stacking them, setting in a truck, etc. I can load a loaded 330 gallon size in my truck for delivery with a smaller Bobcat skid steer but it can be a little wobbly so I take it slow.

Checked the pallet pile at work last night, had 4 small skids with 2x4 uprights and braces nailed on...
Sawzall and big hammer broke them down. Also got a small skid I could load...
