Not to sure as to which forum to post this. I have a 4’ x 16’ x 36’ above ground pool along with a pressure treated deck that is no longer being used. I would like to repurpose that into a firewood shed to hold several cords of firewood. The metal from the pool will be used for the roof and possibility the sides, along with swinging doors on the front. Also need to repurpose the pool liner also. So what Saya shed builders.
Go for it. Cant beat the price. I demoed an above ground pool back in April and saved it and the liner for eventual stack covers. The floor and roof sheathing in my current shed build are reclaimed cedsr deck boards that were destined for the dumpster. Here's the thread on my build. Shed Build
Thanks Brad that shed looks awesome. I'm going to until this hot weather gets out of here before I get started on this shed project.
stephiedoll thats a good idea to post pictures, however nothing is going to happen with this heat. I"m planning this to be a early fall project, sometime after the summer heat and the cold of winter.
This^^^ Guys here can help roughly estimate how much framing you can cobble together with existing materials if you’re not great at that sort of thing rusty ranger 44.
sorry when I try to upload my pictures I keep getting a security error message. Can someone help with that or am I just a big dummy
Oooooh! Lots of shed potential wood there. Are you good with a cats paw nail puller rusty ranger 44? If the "meat" is good on the floor boards take them out carefully to keep intact. The floor joists look like good repurpose too for floor framing.
Never have seen a pallet buster. May make it easier. My MO is to save the boards without damage. Ive had decks pop up easily with just a pry bar whereas others are screwed down and it can be very difficult. I salvaged an entire 20yr+ old cedar deck last October and used a lot of it for my shed build.
