Wife’s sister friend , recently divorced, had a tree removed and needed some help getting the wood processed. She had this saw laying there and knew nothing about it. Gave it to me as I was leaving. I am going to give her one of my smaller saws so she can handle it better. I have never owned anything other than Stihl but I hear good things about the Husky brand. Any good bad or indifferent I need to know about this dude before I spend any time or $$ on it. It may fire right up, have not even pulled it yet.

    I have a Husky that's a step below your 450. I have a 445 with 16in bar/chain. I've had it for a few years and it's done everything I've asked. I'm happy with mine.

The 450 was my first saw. I cut a metric chite ton of wood with it. Still use it from time to time. I switched to a .058 bar so it oils more gooder (no adjustable oiler). Mine came with a 20", it's better suited with an 18". Good value 50cc saw

The 450 is a good saw. I ported one for a friend and it runs great. I have a couple of 350's, a 435, and a 372 as well. Husqvarna makes good saws. My ported 350 is my go-to saw for smaller wood. Over 16" and I grab the 372.

Please don’t judge the Husqvarna brand on this saw. I’ve owned one, in fact it was the first brand new saw I ever bought. I knew in a few short weeks it wasn’t what I wanted. Sold it for $200 and bought a brand new 357xp.
    Very lack-luster performance for a 50cc saw.

It fired right up. Chain brake was messed up but got it fixed.
Runs well enough it seems. Have not cut wood yet. I can say I am not a fan of how to get a new chain on or an old one off. I will prob get rid of it.
