Anybody want some "Sweet gum"? :hair::headbang: I had quite a mixed up pile. I guess his guys don't know Oak from Gum. All sorted as far as I can tell. Made a nice dent in the wood yesterday, see if I can get another good chunk of it done by dinner! :binoculars:

WeldrDave Could you noodle those gum pieces down to size if they don't like to split easily?

I actually used to do that! But it's such a PITA and then you have 6ton of friggken noodles to deal with! :hair: And NO!!! They don't split easy! :headbang::headbang::headbang: I would almost pull out an Ingrown toenail than split this S#!T... :faint:
. Yeah, it's kinda a shame, used to noodle them but I'm not as "desperate" as I have been for wood in the past. If we had a couple years without Nor-easters, my wood pick'ns got slim. After a storm, I was always getting Maples, smaller Oaks and Hackberry trees.

I'm guessing we got a good 2 cord out of this load so far! The IBC tote was empty, this is just uglies from this load. I'm down to a nice pile for tomorrow, I'm beat to hell! Split and moved it all in the back yard. I can't think about NOT having that power wheel barrow now.:(o_O I was wheeling all this back before. o_Oo_O:( I still got some more to do tomorrow if the rain holds off, we'll see. I'm widdeling it down... My Guess is we'll get about 2-1/2 cord from that load, C/S/S.

    Nice drop off.
I can't believe though that the town doesn't freak out over that sitting in the road for days.

It's no different that a construction truck or a dumpster for trash. The Code official (has) been by, but years back, they give you 30 days for things. They drive by from time to time and as long as there is progress, they are fine with things. Understand here folks, "Nothing" would get done if you couldn't have stuff in/on the curb area. This is a small town per say, roads are tight, and people have to work on things. You see construction trailers on the streets parked all the time. Pay a visit and you'll get the Idea.
For the record, some of you can look back but I've posted this kind of dumps since FHC has came into existence, I've been dumping my own wood when I get it in the same spot and doing my C/S/S for the last 35 years. I'll also not get into politics but I have some of the local committee officials in my "Lodges", gun clubs and the Sheriff and I are drinking buddies! :drunk: If that doesn't help, I know people... :emptywallet:  :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:  :zip: *edit* I also forgot to mention, my street is about 50ft wide. I'm really not blocking anything, look at some of the pics, you'll see what I mean.

Yep defiantly remember seeing your pics. Still kinda think it’s odd. Small town here as well but when delivery’s of material are ordered they get dumped in the drive or yard. As far as seeing for myself I have been there once and that was enough for my lifetime!

Understand!:rofl: ! I also needed to note, I live on 1/4 acre. My lot is 0.247 of an acre, who ever came up with that number, but that's whats on the town plot map  That's why having my property up in NH is a dream for me. :D:salute::tears: Some people take that much for granted, o_O not me!!!! :tears:

Yup my first house was on a postage stamp in town I gotcha. It is very convenient that “they “ let you do it, saves the clean up in the driveway or yard.

Well, the deed, it is done! I have to give a SUPER shout out to Chrissy!:tears::) She's just plugging away in the stacking world! She does a great job at it also! :dex: Now, I hope someone comes along and hauls off the Sweet Gum. I may make some Swedish Fire torches and sell them for $20.00 a log! :loco:  There ARE people down here that will buy them! ;) Anyone who knows about tourist areas, knows they will buy anything if it sounds good! Bella, our Border Collie is enjoying the splinters.
It's not all back and stacked yet but I feel we got close to 3+- cord on this load. It was a good one and I got about a solid 1/2 cord of uglies.

All but 3 pieces! People are taking a couple at a time. I think for burn pits. A couple young folks grabbed a couple for a "ALL NIGHT" party somewhere to burn in a pit!:zip::eek:o_O I didn't tell them it was (Fresh cut)  They seemed to know EVERYTHING and told me how it'll burn all night long!  Yeah, if they could get it lit...
