Been looking so forward to longer day light of the evenings and warmer temps. Hoping to do some fishing this spring and working in my yard on a few projects that need done . What’s on everyone’s agenda this spring?

I'm planning to work like mad....

Got a goat barn to build before it gets hot, then we're hoping to build an addition on the house early this summer.
And then there's the garden to put in, and we've still got a couple acres of cedar trees to clear off as well.

Plus working full time to make it all happen..... now I'm tired....

Get thru my treatments, hoping for the best outcome, spend as much time as possible in my boat stick-handling my fishing rods. Friends who I haven't seen in 5 years are coming up from Pa.. We are all headed to northern ontario the first week of june on a fishing trip we booked last year.

Spring GTG 3rd week of April!

After that I'll be moving firewood and stacking. Probably resplitting some splits and shortening some that are too long for our stove.

After that is done, it is whatever but no big plans.

I'll have about 3 cords to split/stack, and a roof to complete on last year's unfinished wood shed project  Some tree work/firewood making at my brother in-law's house, and sometime in the second half of May get the pool cleaned out and ready for the season. Seed starting begins this weekend, and the usual outdoor gardening will start next month with the colder weather crops.

I have right around 2 cord of red oak in logs that need the attention of a chainsaw. That'll make 12 cord total when I get those bucked up.

Then..........the splitting/stacking begins. This before bug season arrives!

A trip to Colorado and another to the L.P. will be in there somewhere also.

That's the plans for spring here. (Late April/May)

I'm not sure yet. I always seem to have more projects than I do time or money.

I want to lay down a plywood floor in my garage addition and make a working wood shop out of it. Then I need to move my hoard of milled ash planks and extend my main row of firewood splits. This is going to possibly need a lean-to roof added to either the addition or the garage to cover slabs. I have some old corrugated tin that will work perfect.

Hope everyone gets to complete their projects and just enjoy the warm weather ahead. We are so blessed to be able to work and enjoy the many hobbies we all have. I’m so bad to take for granted all the blessings the man upstairs has given me.

Already treating seed for planting. Hopefully not dealing with flooding, we just reached the 3rd most snowy winter in recorded history mark and they are talking more snow later in the week. Hope to get some wood cut this spring if it isn't a sopping wet nightmare.

April it’s to chainsaw 8 1/2 acres worth of wood so they can haul it from the cut site to our farmsite. Should net over 125 cord of wood from what we can figure. Prep for a 7 1/2 and a 9 acre lot and the decide if we want in on a 20 acre project.

    a new wood splitter

I was looking for the thread where you were explaining the project to us so I could show campinspecter I couldn't find it. Is it a separate thread?

Nope, just my “sick bunch” thread…
    We are a sick bunch…

bunch of farm sites like this we’re clearing off. Total acreage is like 45-50 acres just this year. Rinse and repeat for the next 5-8 years I’ve been told

this is the April job. Those piles are BIG. That’s 5-6’ deep snow drifts around them.

I have quite the list: hoping to get a garage build underway shortly (Im not building it); my son and I have been working on putting new garden beds in and hope to finish those by next week and plant some cold weather veggies; redo patio & build a deck by oldest son's graduation party in June; plant some trees; fill shed for next burn season.
Going to do some fishing and go to my youngest son's lacrosse games.

Then in summer sit back and enjoy (yeah right)

Out of all the projects, the patio redo gonna be the most work and hardest for me.

Not sure if it will all get done, but like Perry long jr stated, I'll just enjoy being outside and thankful to be able to do hobbies and projects.

Scheib and Jake both use a 37 ton machine. I’m getting a 28 ton for an even faster cycle time. These guys are showing a 9-10 second cycle time. The 28 ton uses the same engine and pump, slightly smaller cylinder though. So should hit 6-8 second cycle time.

Jake has a bunch of modifications that will get done as well when I get the splitter and assemble it.

seems about the most reasonably priced for what I want.
4 and 6 way wedges. The 6-way will be here Thursday according to rugged made. It’s been out of stock since January on back order.
    Log lift.

I got my Prince auto cycle valve received from back order two weeks ago and it’s sitting at the house waiting for the splitter.

I think what makes it so much cheaper…

    you have to assemble it.

I also have been searching for a conveyor so I can split straight into my dump trailer like most are doing so it can go straight to the drying stack.
