    Cant tell you the number of times ive driven by houses this Winter and see smoke billowing out of the chimney and chuckle to myself when i spot a stack or mound of splits, obviously too green as the wood isnt weathered at all. One guy had green logs with a hydro splitter right next to it. :picard:
    Not the stoves fault, unless theyve invented one that burns water.

    I think I've mentioned this before on here but where I lived 30 years ago my neighbors would go out in the afternoon and cut that night's firewood off the log pile by the back door. They piled it next to the stove to dry. The house burned a couple years after I moved away.
