I want to get a wrap handle for a MS460. Is it best to go with OEM or are the aftermarket ones better? And if so what one? I ordered my 661 wrapped and it's ok but I've never held a aftermarket handle.
Also want larger spikes, not stupid long but I don't like the muffler so close to the wood. I believe Stihl has a larger set but any better choices?
    Again thanks
    Keith

My personal preference is having all oem, especially on a nice one like you have. I don’t have any full wrap handle saws yet, but my 044 has oem large dogs and they are nice bordering on overkill.
You will eventually smash the muffler on the 460 if you don’t get bigger dogs.

The wrap really helps with my arthritis. Sawing left handed , not sawing from both sides of the tree and keeping me from extra maneuvering around obstacles. I'm about as graceful as a fridge freezer on a skateboard.

Check out Weber Customs. Rod Webber is a neighbor of a friend of mine. Everything he does is top notch. He also builds custom rifles. Someday, I hope he can build one for me.
Anyway, the true full wrap handles that he developed are the real deal.

    Thanks, I'll look into it!
A saw handle that shoots would probably sell well.

Just looked and that looks great! I like the aluminum mount, my 661 is plastic and while all has been good it kinda looks cheap.
In a Eric VW inspired moment they should change tare to tear....

Any wrap from a 44, 46, 440, 460, or 461 will fit. Not well experienced with handles, but the cheep 660 half wraps will fold if you yank. Have used a couple Hiway half wraps and they’re considerably better. Their full wrap (if available or if they even make one) might be ok. Can usually find oem for $100 in mint shape.

The dogs need to be for an 046, 460, or 461 to fit, regardless of what eBay ads say. If they advertise them as also fitting a 440 and 660, they won’t match up on a 460

He has a saw for sale and I texted him a couple days ago about someone here looking. Said he had a hard time logging in. If he doesn’t get right back to you, I will text you his number
