Route 202 south of rt 2 is a fun ride on a bike, the quabbin kinda looks like a mitten 202 skirts the thumb part. There is only one small lookout where you can get a look at the res. From the road.

I always take the 2nd exit, going south into the park, then up the winding hill with the water on the left, around the rotary to the lookout tower, and down the other side about 100 yards to the Enfield Lookout. Nice stop for bikers. Picnic tables for a bagged lunch. Try it if you haven't gone into the park. It continues and dumps you back out to 202 a bit further down the road.

But the big part of the Quabbin circle is 32A south to north. You don't get any views, the road is absolutely stunning, newly paved with a great little diner called Mimi's along the way for deli sandwiches and great coffee and pastry.

(Sorry, no intended plan to disrupt the thread. But it's all good stuff about the central Mass area.)

Pics below of a recent ride. The green bike is my Road King.
