    I'm in Columbia County, New York with the in-laws. Much warmer here, but, snowing like crazy. A friend of mine phoned me from KY. this morning and it was a cool -6! And his water pipes were frozen.

    Amazing it is that much colder in KY than parts of MI. So far in this cold spell our low was 6 above. It is now 8.
