What are the things that look like suitcase weights on the front of the mower ?

 

Suitcase weights they are.
Offsets the weight of the bagger.

 

I've heard Brian called many things but never a bagger !

 

Funny how you research after raking leaves each fall isn’t it I do the same thing

 

I have a Subaru 5ish hp on a winch. I think it's the easiest starting engine I have.
Although if it says Wisconsin/robin I'd stay away.

 

They had a couple Scag Windstorm's at Fryeburg. Pretty cool blowers. If only I had 13k to blow.

 

I looked it up, quite impressive. A solution for golf courses. I'd like to set that bigun on the fire on my big pine stump, my Stihl handheld does a decent job to rev up a flame.

 

I have a handheld Husky (125b) that I use for blowing leaves and milling. I just decided to mulch the leaves up after blowing them in a row. If I had more acreage, I'd have a backpack one.

 

I just bought one also per a trusted friend who owns a landscape company and it’s been a pleasure to use.
With buzz-saw having trouble with one, I’m kinda curious how things turn out with it.

PS also have a Milwaukee 18v cordless for the around the house and blow out the garage kinda chores.

Borrowed my brother in laws Echo 9010 this past Saturday, all I can say is wow! Mind you it rained pretty good here on Friday all day, come Sat morning the leaves were wet and heavy and I had a ton of them. This beast made quick work of them. What took my wife and I a few Saturdays to do I did in about 2hrs by myself. I could only imagine if the leaves were dry how much easier it would have been.

I went back out for a little on Sun morning I cleared off more property than I've ever had. With all that said, it's big, it's heavy but not as heavy as I thought. But my body felt it afterwards later that day. It's also loud, def need hearing protection for sure and it does eat up some gas so there are a few trade offs. Fall clean up on my property is a lot of work so while I am good for this year I need to invest in something for the future.

The handheld still has it's place and serves me well. You cannot get close to the house and clear certain area's with that monster strapped to your back. Need to blow that all out in the open first with the handheld then let the hand canon do the rest.

 

Well I still can not figure mine out.
Just keeps dying when it gets hot just as if it goes lean and starves for fuel. I tried a replacement imported carb and it runs the same until it gets hot then exactly the same symptoms.
The only thing I have not looked at is the crank seal on the impeller side.
Looks like a pain in the butt to get to it.
Leaf season over so this is now a winter project , it's now on the back burner.

 

Sorry to hear that. Troubleshooting small engines can be frustrating, I know personally I am not very well versed in small engines so often I struggle. Youtube has been a huge help as has places like this forum for help.

Yes, a little frustrating but that part of the battle, Just can't stop scratching my head.
Been through this thing over and over again and just can't nail it down.
Now I am on a mission to figure this thing out.
When I do get it, I will be sure to post an update.

 

I know a certain little Honda Mantis cultivator that got a ride to the “train station “ because of this. Life is too short.
