My yard can’t really handle much more…I only needed a little bit to top off some stacks.

But hey Juniper Hill here is what the leftovers look like. Don’t bother writing to the Facebook people…they are the arborists and probably won’t know. Only one guy took a couple loads before me, and the owners said he wasn’t coming back. There’s a ton left, mostly noodled, and cut to a decent length. You can pull right up on the street for easy loading. Good luck!

Nice grab! How rare are oak scores out in the PNW JiminyKicket?

Very rare. I think the arborists know it so they often take a chunk for milling or firewood for themselves or friends or to sell. Luckily, when it does come available almost no one is equipped to take a lot. Like the guy who was leaving with a load when I pulled up (I asked him “Are you Juniper Hill?” and he stared at me blankly :D), most drive shortbed PUs and they never overload their vehicles.

BTW on today’s trip I also scored this free rack from another spot nearby. (The stacks I’m topping off are in the background. It’s close to the house so I want ‘em to look reel perty.)

Good stuff there, even gooder being rare in your area. Oak is common as dirt in these parts. Nice grab on the log rack.

I see plenty of grass JK. Youve got PLENTY of room. Look at it this way. You can trade in your mower for another chain saw! :D

Got two loads. One real nice no loss stuff, the other will need some noodling. Only about a half truckload of big knots left. I chopped everything off them I could and loaded the back seat. Thanks for posting that pic or I might not have made the 45min drive out there.

Haha my wife will trade me in!

Nice! Yeah it was a good-sized pile. I’m officially done scrounging for the time-being…good to go out on a bang.

Yea I said that too, until that last load of white oak was available.
