Ima Hogg Ima Hogg (July 10, 1882 – August 19, 1975), known as "The First Lady of Texas", was an American society leader, philanthropist, mental health advocate, patron and collector of the arts, and one of the most respected women in Texas during the 20th century.
Going through that list brings back memories...A friend of mine was going out with a girl named " Virginia Hamm" You mean to tell me that when her parents named her that there wasn't some thought put into it. Wasn't there a football player " duck Buttkiss "(sp?)
Accidentally the perfect placement of 2 families. Where I grew up there was a big hill west of town a few miles. A farmstead was on the north side and another on the south. One of them had the last name Dill and the other had the last name Pickel... And that is how Dill Pickle Hill got its name.
