We're seeing colors here that we haven't seen in years. And i think its earlier than usual. The temps dropped a couple weeks early and seemed to trigger the colors all at once.
    Beautiful!

    Yup. Looks about right.

I take the interstates as far as Augusta. Then bang a right on rt3. I'll cross the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. Nice ride. I'll snap some pics where it's convenient

Construction in Stockton Springs is a chit show! The outfit doing it is well known to be a disaster. Go up the elevator in the bridge too. If you like seeing the views that’s the place!

This is usually the week we'd be up in North Conway for the changing of the colors/vacation. I don't recall if I posted this last year or not, but the timeshare decided to close down our room after last year. That forced us to move to another location. Which was not bad, but we decided that after 22 years of owning it, we had gotten our fill and didn't want to pay the $650+ annual fees. We no longer have this beautiful week.

Leaves in southern RI are showing a little bit of change, but way behind the usual.

No ours was part of the Eastern Slopes Inn. Our's was across the street on the second floor above stores below. Right on the strip.

Yup I know the place. Red Jacket had a pretty big fire last year. Just wondering if they changed their services since.

Yeah we've seen the pictures. Our plan going forward is to 3-4 days and get a place up there. Or we are considering getting a travel trailer. Either way we'd like to back up there next year.

Conway is tough. Year round. We used to do the softball tournament there and didn’t want to spent the money for a place to sleep at most places. Scenic inn just down the road was reasonable, older hotel, clean and comfortable. Stayed there for several years for the tournament.

We are on the tail end of the travel softball circuit. My daughter is a junior in high school. She'll have this year, her senior year and the following because of then her birthday falls.

This past year was brutal with 4 tournaments back to back to back.... in heats over 95. No longer coaching, so I do get to sit in the shade. :)

Yeah, ours graduates college this year. We thought we were kinda done when she was 18. Still 18+ and U21. Different then though, they take themselves when they want to go and don’t want parents involved. College games we get to all we can plus a week in Florida in March for the spring games. She can play a 5th year because NCAA canceled her first season. We miss it but we don’t. We miss friends more than the tournaments.

It's a bit of a long story. Buckle up.

Over the past three years we've started going back. Our unit was a 4 and 6. sleeps 4 private and 6 total. It had 2 full baths, a full kitchen, gas fireplace and was a large unit. It's called Roberts 1. Last year before we went up they told us that we'd have to move. They were doing something different with Roberts 1. Needless to say we were not happy. They tried to put us in several different scenarios, but none of them came close to what we had. In the end we did settle on another unit that was fairly close.

Now part of the agreement was that we'd keep our current maintenance fees. Well those went up another $75 this year. The wife and I talked about it and decided we gotten our money's worth and didn't want to be burdened with the increased maintenance fees. We ended up contacting them and requested to be able to turn in out week. After a long back and forth including paying this years maintenance fees, they agreed.

While I am sure some are going to call us crazy, we just were not happy about moving. On top of the increased fees. I want to get an RV and start traveling the country. This allowed us to remove additional expenses each year. To start with the RV, we are going to rent RVs my RAM1500 can tow. Most likely when we are ready to buy, we'll trade my truck in for a RAM2500 or 3500.

We have 3 timeshare weeks on Cape Cod. We're happy with them.

Glad to hear you were able to offload your week. We've heard it can be quite an effort.
