    I
That's Matt's saw there. If he'd sell it I'd probably let it stay here.

I probably can. I hope the 046 will get a little stronger with more run time. It's got a new piston and the D chamber cylinder.

It ain't pretty enough for your collection Dex...
Though it has fared pretty well over the years..
That saw was broke in cleaning up trees after the Joplin tornado...

Was the 046 four stroking out of the cut? I know the 7900 was.

The dolstivarna is a runner. I'll try to get the 665 in the same log. I want to mill that into a cant for real even testing.

Yes. It is tuned a little richer for break in on the new piston. I think it was 13.1-13.2k right then. I checked it with a tach before and had warmed it up first. The 7900 still has the limited coil.

Mike and Matt, the 7900 looks and sounds very strong........ The muffler mod shot on the vise looks like the face of the volleyball called Mr Wilson in Tom Hanks' movie. Mike, nice job on the 7900........ Now you just made me want one of these Dolmar 7900/7910 series saw...... You guys are corrupting me....... lol. I need to look for a 7900 now..............

The 7900 is a great saw right out of the box, but a lot of folks aren't real keen on modifying them, cause it's hard to get real good gains. Dolmar didn't leave much on the table...
I think Mike got some there... ;)
Gonna take a lot of testing to find out exactly how much...

Mike, You should be proud what you have done with the 7900. I played the vld over and over again and it looks strong........
I look forward to your writeup on the 7900. Have you thought about using the new lite-weight piston on the new 7910 saws? I think there maybe a gain there. Just like reloading, you have to find the sweetspot............

We've thought about it and still can without much work. I think the carb was an improvement.

Yup... Needed to feed the extra room in there...
I don't think the slab sided piston would get the results the other one did in this particular recipe...
There's several things going on in this one that make my head hurt...

It is a little confusing. It may not be worth it to some people. Guess we'll see in a few weeks how it does. If its not as good as some of the others I have a couple more ideas.
