I got dozens of swamp white oak acorns in the fall from a coworker. Come springtime I had a bunch growing in pots until one day when the squirrels decided I didn’t need them anymore. I planted my one lone survivor along my property line. Within hours they chomped that one too. I saw just now that it pushed out new leaves. Maybe there’s hope yet, as I do really like these trees.
