    Let it dry for three years for sure….that stuff splits almost like elm and holds water like a lake!!!!

    The HL i scored a couple years ago hand split rather easily. Gnarly logs not included of course. My score from earlier this week sectioned up nicely with the Isocore.
    Was that the big yard tree you scored?

    Honey locust = easy hand splitting
    Honey locust = long drying time
    Honey locust = hopefully good all night burn

    It was that big yard tree, and my big hydraulic splitter hated it. It is not as stringy as elm, but seems to split as hard when there is a crotch etc.
