Does anyone use actual chainsaw gloves? By that I mean gloves that are cut resistant similar to chaps. I've seen some advertised but they only have the back of the left hand protected.
Plain leather is all I have ever used. Never understood how someone could cut the back of their hand, but never thot some politicians would be elected either
"Does anyone use actual chainsaw gloves?" ... yes... the gloves I have on when I use a chainsaw... Now, I'm perty sure that the anti-vibration feature on some gloves might be nice tho...
I use the cheapest gloves I can find because when handling wood I know they are not going to last long. I will wear holes right through the fingertips. That is just the way it is for my wood cutting and handling habits.
I do not. I use Mechanicswear a lot when sawing but they break up pretty quick when handling wood, so I always have the Atlas close to switch over to.
I rarely wear gloves. I was looking a pair to offer some protection against a running saw. Not to keep splinters or other things off my hands.
I use the cheapest pair of chainsaw gloves I found on Amazon. No idea how well they work thankfully. For anything besides cutting, I use mechanics gloves from Menards or Harbor Freight.
I'm a weirdo. I never wear gloves, even in winter. My hands are usually warm even handling snow. Can't tell you why.
