Here are a couple better pictures to show the stack not a muffler I just took. Its short. 1.250" to 1.375 or so.
We had the old Homelite Super Wiz 66, front of muffler was gone. Looked like this. Built like a tank and about as heavy. This guy does a great video. This saw was very popular with guys cutting short Pulpwood or firewood.
Thanks. Yes, very loud. I have a restored Mini Mac 6 with an oval ish shaped stack muffler. Same deal. Slits and you can see piston. Also super loud.
That's not a muffler...that's just a guard...to keep morons from sticking their fingers in the hole while its running!
If you can tune correctly, you won't hurt it by leaning it out. But you might actually hurt it by it sucking in debris while in the cut.
I have a Homelite super EZ, Remington SL-9, Remington Mighty Mite and a really old echo cs301. Japanese writing on the caps ect. Mcculloch Mini Mac 6 and power mac 310
Wish you had one of those Super Wiz 66's...with a bow... Bring a couple if you want... It would be neat if Cole brought that Pro Mac 610 that I gave him... Oldest we have now is the MS029...
