The best mistakes are the ones you diagnose yourself...imagine if the saw shop had to tell you your chain was on backwards
Couple hours? LMAO. It’ll take a couple hours just to figure out where to start. Bring that 36” bar. I’ve got a big pair of Siamese twins that need felling. You know how lazy I am. Of course it has buttons. I don’t pick up wood until it’s ready for stacking. I’m working on that too Not sure what Mtronic is but it’s new and has no choke so probably is. Always nice when you can merge FB scores from distant towns into one. Should be an award for that lol What happened to the 22”?
Turns out the 22" bar was .058 guage which i didnt know. Stihls run either .050 or .063. The new custom loop of chain i had made was .050 so it fit in the bar. Caused some wear in the groove which made it cut crooked. Flipped bar/swapped chains and same result. Its been retired. Here's the thread Cutting Crooked Suddenly Your saw is Mtonic. 462c model. Mine is the same.
buZZsaw BRAD If you have had Covid, it could be Covid brain For some strange reason one is prone to doing stupid stuff after having Covid
Probably not as ive been doing stupid stuff for years! Its called Brad brain! Its not easy being me sometime! All kidding aside. Ive never been positive in the several times ive been tested, but had something flulike in June 2020. Knocked me out for a few days.
You have Brad Brain too? As far as I'm concerned its not putting the chain on backwards that's embarrassing, its how long it takes me to figure it out. Brad
Interesting. The only two loops I had for that bar were Oregon square file. Came with the saw. They were round by the time you got em. I never noticed they were square cut until I already ground a tooth The second one I just said to hell with and rounded it up when it was dull.
Chain on backwards - yep I’ve done that too - more than once. Just had to laugh at myself and move on.
