I've been continuing clearing some of my woods for "silvopasture.." This means I have way more firewood logs than I could possibly C/S/S by myself. Anyone in S. Central PA who wants to come over and help clean up is welcome to take as much wood as you like. If you are interested, please DM me. For example, I took down a chestnut oak today that was about 22" DBH and 80' tall. I only took the bottom 28' for logs, so the rest is now on the ground. In addition, I had to drop about a dozen smaller trees, oak, beech, red maple as well. This is only a very small sample of what I have available.

I agree, I hope some fine hoarders out there take you up on the offer. I know I would if it was closer as I try to stay within 20 miles.

I like it , the drying time is on the long side but if you wait it out it burns great.

Nice offer from you to pass it on.
Hope someone from here is close to you. If I was, I would be all over it!

I think the better question is who doesn't like it?

I love to burn oak and I'm up to my ears in it, plus I have about 6-8 more tree's laying on the ground to get!

My staging area is stuffed! That pile is mostly 4 rows deep but some is 6.

I was bored with it because it’s just about all I burn. Been on the other side of the fence now and while there’s green grass there I’m ready to go back to the good old oak.

    Great offer.

They don’t drop much cleaner than that. Beautiful straight trunk too. Are you getting the top for firewood?

Me, nope. I’m completely swamped in more chestnut oak than one can imagine. I was just there to assist Mike in the fall. That tree was weighted and slightly leaning the opposite direction of the fall so we had to wedge it a good bit.
