    I completely agree that if someone who is obviously a Bob, wants to be called Betty, I will do that. It's like a nickname to me.

    That said, a nickname doesn't change biology. :)

    Hang in there. You're not the only one that one day woke up in a parallel universe where everything is... different. My rule of thumb is if a person looks under 35, assume there's some strange fetish with subjective identity thing going on and just use their name. If you've got to ask a question, a simple "excuse me" should suffice. Avoid the virtue signaling proper pronouns if you can. Nobody on earth will ever live up to the idealism in cancel culture. I do believe that eventually this culture situation will implode in on itself. It's just going to have to run it's course through an entire generation first :confused:
