I turned down a really easy locust score. Hahahahahah I got the call a few nights ago. It fell, over in a wind storm in a pasture and you could drive right to it. I've got too much here to finish processing so I told him no.
I've been turning down an oak score, huge tree, because I just don't have room. I can understand where you are coming from.
I've got the space but not time right now. And I'm sitting on a three year supply with not thinking I'll be here longer than three years. So I'll pass for now, were buying land to build on so I'll likely be taking any future firewood over there.
Yea, "know'n what your dig'n" Priorities . Few things come before firewood but, right now I' so hooked up with end of summer stuff , hunting season starting , cutting wood for the woodshed is taking a back burner.
At least you knew enough to say No this time. Others, to include myself, might have dropped something important to get it and paid for it later, done that before.
Here's one I can't take, but I keep looking at the ad and thinking, man oh man, if I had the room... Firewood (Peters Twp) Large standing dead white oak taken down. You cut and haul. Solid. Easy loading.
You can always build more house, but you can't build more land! I trust the new land is going to be wooded? I've not found a more satisfying activity than working my own land - my woods is my playground!
I hear you but you better check the good book, 11th commandment : Ye shall not look aside from a downed locust tree
Yeah, I saw that one too. If it was on the eastern end of the CL listing I'd grab it. Too far for me to justify. Give me a heads up if you see any listed for the Pittsburgh CL in Ligonier/Latrobe/Greensburg.
Bad enough burning the candle at both ends, Good not to try to burn it in the middle also. Maybe a little more time to have some fun with the family.
Wow. That has to be some hurting knowing you turned down that excellent. You too Jon. That looks like a winner.
YOU WHAAAAAA........................... I have been looking for that for sooooo long and was happy yesterday to collect a few twigs of it just to have some! I get it, but man is that hard to hear.
I would hate you right now, but I totally understand. My wood took a back seat for hay this summer and I am just now getting excited again. I just wish I lived closer.
