Blowing like crazy here in CT. Very noisy against the windows here. 33°, snow and frozen stuff.
If it is safe, going out to see mom at the hospital.
    Blessings,
    Sca

    Good wintry morning, everyone.

A couple inches of snow from earlier this morning. Snow covered roads. Raining now with above freezing temps. Temps going up to Mid-40's and gusty.

A good day for soup and parking oneself in front of the woodstove, you say? Sounds good to me! However, today will be an adventure.

We're heading east to visit with my cousin, who has a beach house, right on the open ocean. Winds will be pushing 60mph. Heavy, angry seas. The winds aren't onshore, so no real erosion threat. I haven't seen an angry ocean with my own eyes.

We'll be on no real time frame. The main roads should be down to pavement by the time we leave. No need to rush.

Be safe - I will for sure today.
    Be healthy

Good morning. My wife and I are off today. She wants to visit the fish house later this morning, and stay through a lunch of brats cooked on the stove out there. It is starting out warm today….20f, heading up to 30f this afternoon.

Good morning everyone! Snowing here, maybe an inch on the ground. It will switch to rain at some point.
I am full of concern for Brandon Scott, whose father is in the ICU in Kentucky, after taking a bad fall and hitting his head. It happened when they were almost home after driving from Florida. If I hear any new info, I will pass it along.
I got my grandson outside yesterday, as it was warm enough in the sun. We split some wood, and he fooled around on the ice.
Take some pics of the surf, Mike!

We are promised warmer through Wednesday before getting back to reality again. Glad the storm missed us. Not sure how much longer we'll be lucky in this matter.

Morning All. Dark, above freezing with expectations of rain. Mom and I are headed down island for dentist appointment. campinspecter is keeping the home fires burning. I suspect he is itching to do a plumbing project on the boiler.

Everyone have a great and safe day.

A Samsung. It was about $800, delivered and the old one taken away. My husband installed it. It has this flat tray on top that slides out for silverware, I guess. It seems to fit less dishes than the old one. But it runs fine, that's all I really care about.

Good morning! 29F with a wintry mix that should be ending soon. Just about to head to lunch. I need to fix my firewood sign at the roadside stand tonight and possibly install a mirror on the skid steer if I locate some ambition. Have a God day!

Good afternoon everybody. 24* out. Been snowing since last evening. Not supposed to go away anytime soon. As of this morning about 5/6".
Chaz did do some plowing last night and I imagine will do it again after work. Heard them plowing when we've only had a dusting but so far today nothing.
Burning some coals down so I Cando a refill.
Sca be safe and hope you get to visit your mom.
Molly, hadn't heard about Brandon's dad. Hope it turns out ok.
    Stay safe everybody.

We were out 2 hours and saw a lot different kinds of fish in the clear water which was fun for my wife. We focused on bluegill and kept enough for a meal.

I just wiped down the glass with some water and ash, and cleaned out a good bit of ash in the stove after letting the load of hard maple from 8:30 last night burn down. Even after almost 16 hours I had enough coals to get a nice fire going in no time with some of that good FHC style dry wood that we all know and like so well!
