Doesn't sound like that worked well either. Unless extra tractors came up in spring.

Did getting it out involve "borrowing" anything from your neighbors in addition to the Grizzly? Copious amounts of the handiman's secret weapon?

    Brought some more wood in

We brought in a few extra cart loads before the blizzard. Easier to get it now...

It's nice to have the season's wood handy.
We're kinda new at this....stove went in Jan 2021. So still trying to figure out how much we'll use in a season. We have 6 weeks of good seasoned stuff up at the house, and 3 weeks (at current burn rate) of less optimal wood/use it last wood...3 cord or so. We used 2+ before the new year, I bet we use 4+till may.

That is one old-school wheelhorse! Grew up with one like that, 1972 model iirc. Nice!

4 would be very typical for many people...including myself...usually land in the 4-5 range.

300 series tractor, 12 horse motor and 8 speeds. It'll pull a fully loaded 4x8 trailer around the property pretty easily. It's been very handy! I think it's a mid to late 80's machine.
