Good morning, folks.

Clear and calm today. Upper 20's to start, heading to low 40's.

I'll top off the deck wood rack, ahead of a return to single digits and lower wind chills. Cold and winds come in tomorrow for the weekend .

I hope to see my folks, to drop off a care package of sorts. There's new Covid protocols in place. They are doing rapid covid tests on anyone entering the facility. We'll see.

Good morning. Each sunrise lately I look out the back windows to see if a leaning, standing dead ash in the pasture has fallen. I cut into it with the chainsaw, to drop it. Feeling hit and miss on rotted wood, I backed off.

it’s cut into enough to be unstable. Predicting a good wind with a bird landing on a branch will take it down. The wood should carry me through this season

 

Good morning everyone! Sorry I missed you yesterday. All kinds of appointments and obligations have been converging. We should be out of the woods so to speak by the end of today. Just lots of life's little details.
Some kind of snow event coming on Monday!

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all habe a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Got some logs CSS in a shed yesterday. Bucked 12 logs, had 84 rounds, got 33 left.
Got a yard to clean up this morning, take bagger off, need to mulch pine cones and small limbs, he wants to drop 2-3 pines too.
Hope to split some more rounds then going to eat some fish with a friend

 

Morning everyone. Nice today but it sounds like we might get smacked with some snow tomorrow.

Actually looking forward to a good snow. Had a couple so far but it's been a cold but brown winter for the most part.

Looking forward to celebrating Christmas on Sunday with my daughter's family and my youngest son and hus wife Sunday.

Good morning! It's 29F and cloudy. Another fairly warm day. Temps will start dropping tomorrow. No real precipitation in the forecast. The big blob of white stuff is supposed to miss by about 200 miles. Got a face cord of mostly maple split and stacked in a 330 gallon IBC tote last night. I have a smaller tote of shorts and uglies I'm going to set out by the roadside stand and see if I get any takers. Music practice tonight. Time to make a joyful noise on the skins. I was "rapid tested" at the door. It came out negative. I was able to visit for a short period of time.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a busy one. Quotes from two tree services to take out a pine limb next to our electric line, a dishwasher delivery, a little old lady grocery shopping trip, and a blood draw. Plus the gym of course.
Today is a little better, just have to move a rack of oak to the driveway for my neighbor in need to pick up. I don't want to have to do anything outside tomorrow, it will be crazy wind chill temps.
We have a new washing machine on order, but it won't arrive until Feb. 3rd. I'm gonna use the old one until it breaks completely, then it'll be off to the laundromat.
I'm just grateful that my problems are so trivial.
Things could be a lot worse!

Morning all! Checked on the wood this morning. Heavy blanket of fog outs, but temperature not bad. Quiet as a tomb. Always a pleasant way to begin.

 

Good morning y'all. I missed y'all yesterday, had to get the bagger off the mower, get mulching chute back on, load up trailer and worked 3 hrs at our friends house, did the yard, then dropped 6 pines, cut them into logs he can move with his tractor. He uses them for erosion control.
Got to make a couple wood deliveries this morning, then nap time, yep, start nights again......retirement is sure looking better....1 day....
