Been a wet, warm fall. Only been able to get a few loads out of the woods. I can still walk over and whack some up. When the gittin's good, I haul the big rounds up so I've got some splitting when the weather doesn't cooperate. That's what I've been working on lately. I can't wait for the freeze.
Hoping we have a cold, relatively snow free Winter here, but never know. Coldest night of the season tonight so it should get started.
Well...finally froze up. Here's an ash that's been standing dead for years. It blew down this spring, and I'm finally getting at it. Solid firewood.
That's amazing that the base was that bad, but the wood is still solid. Do you by chance know the MC?
Nice pile of firewood there! Looks like a good day of work, I would say that qualifies you to enjoy a few cheep beers!
