Been a wet, warm fall. Only been able to get a few loads out of the woods. I can still walk over and whack some up.
When the gittin's good, I haul the big rounds up so I've got some splitting when the weather doesn't cooperate. That's what I've been working on lately. I can't wait for the freeze.

Hoping we have a cold, relatively snow free Winter here, but never know. Coldest night of the season tonight so it should get started.

26⁰ here currently. Inside 70⁰. Supposed to get into the teens by daybreak. Good splitting weather!

I could have split more, but my time and attention needed to be elsewhere.

Well...finally froze up. Here's an ash that's been standing dead for years. It blew down this spring, and I'm finally getting at it. Solid firewood.

That's amazing that the base was that bad, but the wood is still solid. Do you by chance know the MC?
