If the North American forests are anywhere near the pellet plants that are selling to the power generators in Northern europe then "only" applies. The plants buy "everything". Draco and the other power generators claim the pellets are made from "tailings" and "leftovers' from the wood industry, but that has proven to be false over and over again. You can stand outside any of the dozens of pellet manufacturers on the East coast and watch the trucks pulling in with the feedstocks. They're using the whole tree. Acre after acre after acre. And not just farm trees, virgin forest. These are not the same pellets used in home pellet stoves.
It's a horrible waste of resources, and nowhere near being "green".
