Try your hand at modifying one of your saws? Not being able to bring yourself to mess with your baby. Perhaps being fearful of screwing a faithful tool up on your virgin experience!

Perhaps thinking “if I only had a cheap running saw, to experiment on, I’d give it a try”! Well you are not alone; I cannot bring myself to hack away at a pristine saw just to see “what would happen if I did this or that?”. Unless I KNOW what is going to yield a positive performance gain.

A basket-case saw is sometimes too daunting/overwhelming a task to even consider. I routinely keep enough decent parts around to build up a saw on which to experiment.

Well here is your chance to get a running saw that was freshly built up on which to try your hand. I have two 372XP BBK (Hyway) saws I built up for tuned pipe experiments. I thought that I would offer them up to the members. They are all OEM except the C/P and the top handle. They are completely rebuilt new bearings, seals and the works, Walbro HDA-12-1(B).

I am going to be doing some structural work on my shop so these have to go.

Well we should keep in mind that Eccentric was actually first in line 26 minutes after the ad went up, so he has first shot, then JChin. Have not had any word from Fuzz.

 

Fuzz is out only waiting for Eccentric otherwise they both go to Mr. Chin.

 

Good deal, he seems like a super nice guy in the bit that I have talked to him.

 

Both saws are now sold to Mr. Chin!
