    I have another saw and will have more but this one is going to be hard to put down big or little wood. I guess I will get it at dexter cad company lol

    Hope the have both in stock tomorrow. Ptctures as soon as I get it, I have not looked up the weight of a ms 290 but went to my wood cutting buddys house yesterday and had his ms 290 in one hand and my ms362cm in the other and it seemed like if they was not the same the 290 was heaver. Am I crazy or right?:hair::wacky::loco: :crazy:

    Personally, I'd settle a 18" and 24" bar on that puppy...I'd keep the original spline on it too, especially for firewood cutting. But it depends on what you do with the 241CM. If you keep the smaller saw for delimbing, then a 20" bar would be a perfect 1 bar for the 362. Plus now it looks like you have a void and a need for a 70cc saw in your future...:D

    362 is very well balanced with a 20" bar...in terms of power and weight.

    Just remember it may have felt lighter due to its balance in your hand. A quick look on Stihl site showed 13lbs for the 290 and 12.8 lbs for the 362

    Yep. He does sell some :) ... I made a deal on a 261C-M (1 tank through it) with Extra Bananas MM-261XB (Mastermind 261- Xtra Bananas) :dex:

    The 8 pin with a 16" bar and cutting wood from tiny limbs to 12" shouldn't be a problem for it at all.

    When you step up in bar size, put the 7 pin back on. I just put an 8 pin on my 362 for testing against the 562xp and 665 this week (personal test. Not the 65 cc shootout).

    If your gonna bury that 16"? Then the 7 pin should be on? But I am guessing that this will be a limbing saw with a 16" bar on it?

    Put whatever bar you want/need on it but there is no benefit to using the 8 pin on that saw. 16 is fine if you don't need anything bigger.

    I agree with 99 that 20" is perfect for a one bar solution on the 362.

    With a 241 on the way, why mess with the 362 for 8" or less of wood?
