I have had some real good husqvarna saws in the past and the rpms was out of this world!! I have had some that was not. This was before the merge or buy out of pouland. I hear you can get the real husqvarnas but you haft to go to the right place to get them. Any knowledge on this ??
Meh.... It's my go to saw. Love it, can't see ever letting go of it except for that week when it will eventually get ported.
Husqvarna and Still have three grades of saw. Homeowner, farm/ranch, and pro. Pro in the modern husky lineup will be designated with xp. Some of their mid grade saws are the same as their pro brothers just detuned.
Pro saws will still be a good saw. Dont worry they still make quality saws...they also make she he owner grade saws.
Griz, as long as the Saw has a XP designation at the end of the model number? Your fine. There is also saws that are the same as Pro grade XP saws. But just slightly detuned and dont say XP. Some of the most popular now are a 545 (same as 550xp), 555 (same as 562xp), 365, same as 372xp), and 570 (same as 575/576xp). The 545 and 555 are the newest saws and Autotune like the new Stihl MS 362C-M (and the 241C-M). If your looking for a saw to replace the 241C (if you wanted to try Husq). The Husq 545 will save you some Green backs and be just as fast, if not faster. The 545 is an amazing unit. Is that what your thinking? Not buying the 241? And replacing with Husq? Or going bigger than the 362C-M?
Dexter no Im staying stihl all the way. Just been a lot of talk around here for a while about husqvarna being bought out and I did not know any details. I can rememeber about ten years ago a man had me cleaning several acers of thick thick woods at the time I had a small pouland and it went up in smoke fast and thats when I bought my first husqvarna can't remember the size but It was a small saw 14inch bar special ordered by a barn builder I knew and man it was fast. Wowed me a lot. I wish I would have never sold that saw. Lot of good memories with it but at the time 250 dollors was hard to come by. Glad Im better on that part now.
