    Ha Ha it was down, so I had to cut- split-load- transport and stack

    yes it surly is. got this off of marketplace. The first in line took an ash tree, which was good for me. I don't know why he choose the ash before the locust.

    a lot of wood cutters/burners arent familiar with locust so it "scares" them when they encounter it. Fine by me as ill take all i can get!

    yes every chance that I get. I try to keep the locust for those days and nights when you want to snuggle in with a good hot fire in the stove.

    I e never burned Locust. Any kind. I’ve had plenty of Ash, maybe ppl are just comfortable with what they know.

    black locust is a very dense hardwood that puts out a lot of heat and a very long burn. It is one of the best firewood in my book.

    I never knew of black locust until i joined the FHC nearly three years ago. I now have "locust mania". Its my favorite to scrounge. An amazing wood. Three times as rot resistant as pressure treated lumber.
    Dead barkless even better.
