I don’t think I’d want to be burning wood with pesticide on it. But if it works for you great.

We just left for vaca and I set off 3 big bombs down there. That usually takes care of them.

Just seems like a bad idea to me. But like I said if it works for you great! I do like the idea of bringing the wood in during the spring I’m gonna try that next year.

I don't like bad ideas but there has to be a reason they are "bad" before I give up on them...LOL

Right I wasn’t suggesting that you do anything. Just saying it’s not something I would do… maybe I’m a savage but I really don't see enough bugs that would warrant me to blast a bunch of chemicals in my house.

My guess is how chemicals react with fire.. I don’t know answer BUT I thinks bugs have lower cancer rates higher tolerance especially BUGS i don’t like

It's not a bunch of chemicals to be honest. It's just a light spray over the face and top of the stacks that dries in 30 minutes or so. I'm not really worried about wood boring insects as they get killed when I treat the stacks in the wood shed. However, the life of Permethrin is short and by the time the wood comes in, it seems like some type of small gnats decide to set up camp. The first year here I didn't treat and I had clouds of the little suckers circling the ceiling lights every time I went down there. They also made it upstairs and I had dead ones all over my window sills and sash. Now, I just go downstairs about once a week after springtime loading and vacuum them up along the front of the stack. They never make it further than a foot or two and they crash neatly on the cellar floor.
